James Herdman was stopped on Maple Street in Barrow after he had attempted to evade officers by speeding away in his Volkswagen Golf on November 21 last year.
Prosecutor Suresh Basra said the 32-year-old provided a lowest reading of 237 ug/L of cocaine.
This time, the court heard Herdman provided a reading of 65 ug/L.
They also banned him from driving for 28 months and told the defendant to pay £85 in court costs and a £114 victim surcharge.
Before passing sentence, the chair of the magistrates’ bench said: “Up until November, you were not known by the court.
