Labor’s Veterans Affairs minister will make “no apologies” for his department’s decision to engage a design studio in a $312,774 “agency brand identity” contract after the Coalition criticised the move as a vanity project.
The Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) awarded a graphic design contract to the Darlinghurst, NSW-based firm Bandit Design Group in a tender published in March.
Since then, the initial $230,620 contract has blown out three separate times to its current size.
