The Chaffee County Fairgrounds turned into a community gathering place Saturday evening as hundreds of residents and visitors filled the stands for the annual rodeo, bringing together families, longtime attendees, and first-time spectators. For many, the rodeo is an annual traditionStanding along the fence watching the events unfold, Matt said he has attended the Chaffee County Fair since 1979. He said his favorite part of the county fair is spending time with friends while watching the horses. Next Saturday will feature the Ranch Rodeo, antique tractor parade, family contests and live music before the fair concludes Sunday.
