The Buena Vista (BV) Board of Trustees reviewed and discussed recommendations from the volunteer Short Term Rental (STR) Committee during its Tuesday, July 14 meeting. The recommendations from the committee were sent to the town attorney to review and draft the ordinance. Trustee Maggie Huyck, who served on the committee, stated she felt the ordinance accurately reflected conversations had by the committee. Overall, the committee agreed with previously expressed sentiment to exclude anything deed restricted or in South Main from housing stock calculations. Overall, trustees generally supported a percentage cap per zone, rather than a hard cap or a percentage cap based on total housing stock.
