On Monday, July 27, 2026, shortly after 4 p.m., a female pedestrian walked into a prohibited area of the Shaganappi Point LRT Station along Bow Trail, S.W. As a CTrain approached the station from the east, the woman walked on to the tracks. The CTrain operator activated the train’s horn and emergency brakes, however, the female was struck by the train. Speed is not considered a factor in this incident, however, impairment on behalf of the pedestrian is being investigated.
