The Bayonne Fire Department made quick work of a residential porch fire on Monday, needing less than an hour to extinguish the blaze, according to Acting Deputy Fire Chief Theodore Wolf.
By John Heinis/Hudson County ViewAt approximately 3:34 p.m. yesterday, the Bayonne FD was dispatched to 127 West 27th Street following reports of a fire, Wolf said in a statement.
Upon arrival, responding companies encountered a fire on the exterior porch and side of the residence.
The fire was declared under control at approximately 4:15 p.m.All occupants of the residence were safely evacuated by the Bayonne Police Department and no injuries have been reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but at this time, there is no indication that the fire is suspicious in nature, added Wolf.
