Debra Rice and daughter Emma will complete this year's Cancer Focus NI Pink Run together. A Belfast mother and breast cancer survivor who feared she would never see her daughter attend high school has spoken of her joy at a decade of recovery. “After my breast cancer diagnosis, all I wanted was to be alive to see my daughter (Emma) make it to big school,” said Debra Rice. Both will now be taking part in this year’s Cancer Focus NI Pink Run. Testing positive for the BRCA 1 gene fault and triple negative breast cancer, she said her thoughts immediately went to her then seven-year-old daughter.
