World Travellers has appointed Jodie Burnard as general manager as part of a two-year strategic growth plan. She also worked as GM of marketing and creative services at Stella Travel Group New Zealand and marketing manager for Harvey World Travel. The World Travellers board and recruitment panel said that Burnard’s depth of industry knowledge and direct experience with independent agents were key factors in her appointment. “While going through our very robust and quite challenging recruitment process, Jodie always showed up with warmth, professionalism and relatability,” World Travellers chair Wendy van Lieshout said. “I am excited to be joining the World Travellers family, massive thanks to Wendy van Lieshout and the board for letting me join their exciting journey ahead, I can’t wait to get started!”
