Berkley revamps reinsurance leadershipW.R. Berkley said Monday it has made a series of senior leadership changes in its reinsurance business. Daniel R. Westcott was named executive vice president with oversight of the company’s assumed reinsurance businesses. Robert R. Coyne Jr. succeeds Mr. Westcott as president of Berkley Re America, while longtime Berkley executive Robert C. Hewitt was named chairman of Berkley Re. Mr. Coyne joined Berkley in 2006 from General Star and most recently was a senior vice president at Berkley Re. Mr. Hewitt joined Berkley in 2002 and was named executive vice president of the company in 2016.
