The North West Chairmen noted that the endorsement was an acknowledgement of Gusau’s transparent leadership, innovative approach and commitment to developing football across the country. They also commended their colleagues nationwide for placing the interests of Nigerian football above all other considerations by supporting continuity and stability within the federation. Reaffirming their commitment to the progress of the game, the North West Football Association Chairmen thanked their counterparts from the North Central, North East, South East, South South and South West zones for what they described as a historic demonstration of confidence and unity. The statement was jointly signed by the Chairmen of the Football Associations in Kaduna, Kano, Sokoto, Kebbi, Jigawa and Zamfara states on behalf of the North West Zone.
