A court heard that trio allegedly attacked a man with the weapon and made off with items, including an electric bike. The suspected victim required treatment to wounds to his face, back and arm, prosecutors said. Miss Houston added: "The case is indictable only, so must go to the crown court. Magistrates sent the case to Newcastle Crown Court, where all three men will appear on August 25.
