Former MLB catcher Kurt Suzuki interviewed Friday for the San Francisco Giants' managerial vacancy, FanSided's Robert Murray reported. The news comes four days after the Giants announced former manager Bob Melvin's dismissal after two seasons. Perry's brother, Zack Minasian, was promoted to serve as the Giants' general manager ahead of the 2025 season. Although Suzuki has no previous managerial experience, his recent work as an MLB catcher could potentially make him a strong candidate for the Giants. Slusser noted that the club interviewed former Giants catcher Stephen Vogt, now manager of the Cleveland Guardians, as a managerial candidate before hiring Melvin in 2023.
