The Liberal City Commission met on Tuesday evening at 5:30 pm. The City recognized Tim Lunceford, Director of IT, as the recipient of the second quarter employee Innovation & CreativityAward. The City Commission approved the 2025 Audit as presented by Hay, Rice & Associates, then the Commission approved the 2026 Audit Contract as presented by Hay, Rice & Associates in an amount not to exceed $65,000. Adopted at the meeting were the Standard Traffic Ordinances and the Public Offense Codes and the City made Liberal Youth Council Member Appointments. The Commission approved the School Resource Officer Agreement with USD 480, for the 2026-2027 School Year and approved the bid from Lynn’s Total Comfort in the amount of $27,300.00 for the replacement of the HVAC unit in the Commission Chambers.
