(ABC 6 News) – Today, in Dodge County, a piece of Minnesota history has been officially preserved.
The ruins of the Wasioja Seminary for Male students were officially preserved today after being under construction for several years with the intent of stabilizing the site for prevention.
“When Governor Walz was here he referred to this as the second most important site, historical site in the state of Minnesota that no one knows about.
And so that’s my goal is people are going to know about Wasioja” said Jim Checkle, helper with the preservation effort.
The ribbon cutting today marks the end of the preservation work.
