The Transport Department has also cancelled the driving licences and permits of the accused, signalling a zero-tolerance approach towards harassment of passengers.
Following the incident, Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury directed officials to take immediate and stringent action against those responsible.
He warned that the government would not tolerate any attempt to harass passengers or disrupt lawful transport services.
Authorities maintained that the arrests are intended to restore public confidence in airport transport services and send a strong message that organised harassment of passengers will not be tolerated.
