The Reedham swing bridge, over the River Yare, is currently unable to reliably open for river traffic due to a central bearing fault. The 123-year-old structure also carries rail services over the river and normally swings open to allow larger boats to pass. Joe Kennedy, infrastructure director for Network Rail Anglia, said: "We’re so sorry for the disruption to boat users, passengers and neighbours caused by the mechanical fault at Reedham swing bridge. "We are working flat out to get Reedham back into working order again."
