Thousands of Baltimore Gas and Electric customers are without power after a severe storm caused damage across Central Maryland. More than 34,000 customers were initially affected by storm-related power outages, according to BGE. As of 3 p.m. on Wednesday, the utility company’s outage map showed 401 outages with nearly 3,500 customers affected. Crews are still assessing the damage, but preliminary reports included downed wires, broken poles and fallen trees.
