The William S. Hart Union High School District is mourning the loss of longtime educator and administrator Mark Crawford, who died July 4 after a lengthy battle with cancer. After one year, he joined the Hart District in 1998 as a social studies teacher and baseball coach at Hart High School. Throughout his career, Crawford served in several administrative positions, including assistant principal at Hart High School from 2003 to 2009, principal at Sierra Vista Junior High School from 2009 to 2014, principal at West Ranch High School from 2014 to 2022 and, most recently, director of human resources.
