A new project aims to support the responsible growth of tourism in the Inverness and Loch Ness areas.
Inverness and Loch Ness have been selected to take part in a pilot project aimed at supporting sustainable tourism across Scotland.
Ellen Fogel Walker, chief executive for Visit Inverness Loch Ness, said since 2014, the organisation had developed to become a recognised leader in sustainable destination development.
“We are delighted to have been selected for the GDS pilot programme to further push our commitment to sustainable growth for our industry and communities,” she said.
Chris Taylor, VisitScotland destination development director, said the visitor economy was hugely important to Inverness and Loch Ness, supporting businesses, jobs and communities across the area.
