Design driven by nature and lightThe home's layout was carefully planned to maximise natural light and cross-ventilation, influencing several important design choices. Instead of installing en suite bathrooms upstairs, Lambie chose shared bathrooms to improve airflow and allow more daylight to reach the living areas. The home features a combination of timber, natural stone and off-shutter concrete, materials Lambie believes offer both longevity and timeless appeal. Together, they selected handcrafted furniture, woven textiles and natural finishes that emphasise skilled craftsmanship and sustainable design, while seamlessly connecting the indoor living areas with the surrounding garden.
