Lil Durk’s lawyers say the feds tried to sneak in gang photos and drug texts after a judge already ruled that evidence out. Lil Durk and his legal team caught the government trying to sneak evidence back into a trial it had already been told to keep out. Judge Michael Fitzgerald already ruled in February 2026 on what evidence the government could and couldn’t bring into this trial. Lil Durk, whose legal name is Durk Banks, has been locked up since October 2024 on charges that he orchestrated a murder-for-hire targeting rapper Quando Rondo. The motive, prosecutors say, was retaliation for the 2020 death of King Von, Durk’s close friend and OTF affiliate.
