ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Waste Management customers in neighborhoods across the Rochester region have been dealing with pick-up and customer service issues for months and now, as they’re trying to cancel, they’re getting hit with fees.
“You go into an automated system and it’s like a merry-go-round,” says Jen, a local Waste Management customer who is trying to cancel her service.
Dozens of others reported the same $75 fee that Waste Management charges for “container removal.”
To me it seems like a way for them to just make some more money,” says Andy Whitiker, another Waste Management customer who called to cancel.
If you’re unhappy with how Waste Management handled your situation, you can file a formal complaint with the New York State Attorney General’s office and the Better Business Bureau.
