A married former Wall Street executive has been sentenced to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty to drugging and raping multiple women at his upscale Manhattan apartment. Investigators said Edward Gene Smith, 50, kept disturbing notes that documented his planning during a decade-long pattern of abuse, the Daily Mail reported. Smith admitted to assaulting his victims at his luxury apartment. The defendant is a serial rapist who used his money, access and affluence to drug and rape young women," prosecutors said during his sentencing hearing Tuesday. Prosecutors said they believe Smith's crimes extended beyond the cases for which he was charged and that he allegedly admitted to targeting additional victims.
