['About Our Expert']

Law enforcement in Taiwan has reportedly detained an Nvidia employee as part of an investigation into AI chip smuggling to China.
On Tuesday, Taiwan's Keelung District Prosecutor's Office announced new progress in its efforts to trace how high-end servers from US company Supermicro, an Nvidia partner, were illegally exported to China.
The Prosecutor's Office did not name the man’s company, but Bloomberg reports that Chang works at Nvidia.
Although Nvidia has been trying to address concerns about chip smuggling, US officials remain worried that Chinese companies are still finding ways to source its latest GPUs.
Last week, a White House advisor accused the Chinese startup Moonshot AI of sourcing cutting-edge Nvidia Blackwell GPUs.
