The only free personal finance apps I reviewed are Credit Karma and NerdWallet, which can't match the comprehensive feature set of Quicken Classic. Other personal finance apps, including YNAB ($9.08 per month, billed annually) and Monarch ($8.33 per month, billed annually), cost about the same as Quicken Classic. As competitors continue to refine their user interfaces and expand their features, Quicken Classic looks increasingly bloated and uneven. Quicken Classic is the only personal finance solution I tested that offers a variety of tax planning tools. If you want to share your Quicken data with someone, they can access it without having Quicken on their PCs.
