Singapore has appointed Keppel Ltd to lead the next phase of a low- or zero-carbon ammonia project on Jurong Island. The initiative includes FEED studies for both power generation and ammonia bunkering. Plans target electricity generation of up to 65 MW and annual bunkering capacity of 0.1 million tonsThe project supports Singapore’s National Hydrogen Strategy and its 2050 net zero commitment. Selected through a competitive process, this project is a central part of Singapore’s National Hydrogen Strategy launched in 2022, which focuses on advancing hydrogen technologies and achieving net zero emissions by 2050.
