The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 53-year-old housekeeper in connection with the theft of a ring valued at approximately $35,000 from a Dewey resident, who is a woman in her 80s. The stolen ring has been recovered thanks to diligent work by a YCSO detective. YCSO Detectives immediately began investigating. Using online leads and other evidence, the YCSO Detective was able to locate and recover the victim’s ring and identify the suspect as Peterson. On September 24th, Detectives located Peterson and arrested her on charges including Theft and Trafficking of Stolen Property.
