The Albanese government has promised to legislate a “duty of care” for tech companies in an attempt to pivot responsibility away from parents in the fight to protect children’s identities on online platforms.
The care provider, which operates more that 650 centres across the country, said the risk of photograph manipulation is too high.
Speaking to Sunrise on Wednesday, Employment Minister Amanda Rishworth said the responsibility needed to be on technology companies.
