The way in which roads in the Sounds are managed and maintained changed on 1 July with three new Sounds roading maintenance contractors, each looking after a different zone. These are Mike Edridge Contracting Limited (French Pass/Pelorus), Taylors Contracting Limited (Kenepuru) and R M Fissenden Contracting Limited (Port Underwood). The Marlborough Roads Recovery Team continues to operate across the region to repair roads damaged in storm events.
