The scheme, part of the government’s Great British Summer Savings initiative, means children aged five to 15 will be able to travel without charge on many bus routes throughout August.
Five major operators are participating in the scheme - First Bus, Sanders, Stagecoach, Border Bus and Central Connect.
Tom Dickerson, Norfolk County Council’s cabinet member for highways and transport, said: "I’m thrilled that so many of our operators are taking part in this scheme.
Children under five already travel for free on all bus services across Norfolk.
Many attractions across the county are also part of the national Good Journey initiative, which offers incentives and discounts for people arriving car-free.
