A routine traffic stop on Monday evening led to the arrest of a local man after law enforcement officers discovered illegal drug paraphernalia and suspected narcotics hidden inside his vehicle. Jeremy Austin Radford, 32, of Crossville, was taken into custody on July 27, 2026, by Deputy Holden Atkinson of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office. According to official incident reports, Deputy Atkinson initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of Vandever Road and William Reed Road after observing a dark-colored Chevrolet Avalanche operating without a visible license plate. While speaking with the driver, the deputy detected the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. He faces charges of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, along with citations for driving an unregistered vehicle and violating the state’s financial responsibility law.
