FARGO, N.D. — Twenty out of 24 Fargo businesses passed recent alcohol compliance checks conducted on Tuesday, July 21, marking an overall compliance rate of 83 percent. The operations were carried out by Fargo Cass Public Health (FCPH) in partnership with local law enforcement agencies across Fargo, West Fargo, and Cass County. The joint effort aims to ensure licensed retailers adhere to state laws and city ordinances prohibiting the sale of alcohol to anyone under the age of 21. Under Fargo Municipal Code, a first offense carries a $500 penalty. FCPH officials routinely conduct these checks throughout the year and urge all licensed alcohol retailers to conduct periodic reviews of local ordinances and incorporate compliance training into employee onboarding programs.
