TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - University of Indonesia (Universitas Indonesia, UI) is set to open an undergraduate program in artificial intelligence (AI) at the Faculty of Computer Science (Fasilkom) as approved by its senate on October 3, 2025. Through the curriculum, students will be guided to understand various aspects of artificial intelligence, from product design to ethics and business implementation. Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) offers a bachelor's degree in artificial intelligence engineering, while Bina Nusantara University (Binus) and Pelita Harapan University (UPH) have the 'Artificial Intelligence' (AI) program. The Indonesia Computer University and Airlangga University (Unair) also contribute to the field of AI, albeit in a different scope from undergraduate computer science studies, but in robotic engineering and artificial intelligence bachelor's degree programs. The admission of new students for the undergraduate program in artificial intelligence at the Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Indonesia, will begin in the academic year 2026/2027.
