New police stall opens in Wrexham city centre to boost visibilityA new police stall has opened in Wrexham city centre to increase officer visibility and boost engagement. The pop-up shop is based in the Butchers Market and is staffed by members of the Wrexham City Local Neighbourhood Policing Team. The stall is open every Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 2pm and 4pm and will run as a pilot until the end of the year. “We hope the enhanced policing presence will also serve as a further deterrent to retail crime and ASB, helping to minimise the risk to retail staff and to members of the public. “The stall will increase our presence in the city centre and allows officers to be on hand quicker if there is an incident, hopefully providing an increased level of reassurance within the community,” added Sgt Hughes-Jones.
