ROCHESTER — Three incumbents and eight challengers have filed to run for the four open positions on the Rochester School Board during the November election.
The only incumbent who didn’t file for re-election is Julie Workman, who has been a school board member for more than 15 years after being first elected in 2010.
Previously, candidates ran for individual board seats and would only compete for votes against other candidates who had filed for that same seat.
The four candidates with the highest number of votes will receive a spot on the seven-member governing body.
