Billy Corgan is set to join the Hollywood Walk of Fame alongside his band the Smashing Pumpkins. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced in a press release on Tuesday that the the NWA owner will be part of the 2027 class as part of the Smashing Pumpkins alongside a number of new stars such as Cheech & Chong, Idris Elba, Pedron Pascal, Adam Scott, The Ramones, Grandmaster Flash, and more. The announcement notes that the honorees were “chosen from among hundreds of nominations to the committee” at a meeting held on May 15th, and were ratifed by the Hollywood Chamber’s Board of Directors on July 22nd.
