A website for the special high-paid role created for former Newman-era minister Andrew Cripps was only created after questions were raised last week about the scope of his work and early use of a private email address. Amid questions on Wednesday from Deputy Opposition Leader Cameron Dick, the minister for regional and rural development, Dale Last, confirmed Cripps’ Special Commissioner for Regional and Rural Queensland office had a day-to-day reporting line with his department. Dick noted that a website had only been established on Friday, July 24, after scrutiny of the role three days earlier during Premier David Crisafulli’s estimates session, which Regional and Rural Development director-general Graham Fraine confirmed on Wednesday.
