NHS and homecare firm launch novel SACT clinic in West Midlands

Nurses at a hospital trust in Staffordshire have joined forces with a national homecare provider to launch the first community-based clinic offering cancer treatment in their region.
The clinic, developed with the West Midlands Cancer Alliance, provides systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT) and other specialist infusion services in a community setting.

Sarah Hughes, managing director of West Midlands Cancer Alliance, added: “We are delighted that Audley Health Centre is now home to this innovative community cancer hub.
“Centres like this will complement hospital treatment and can help make life better for people dealing with cancer,” she said.
