Timmy Shaver was diagnosed with Burkitt lymphoma and decided to host a blood drive to help with the shortage that is happening. Although he is not currently needing blood donations, he understands the need for them for other children who are facing similar struggles. When someone goes through chemotherapy, it can damage their red blood cells and they rely on donations to help them continue their treatment.
