Kohima, July 28: The Indian Air Force has launched a large-scale rescue operation in Nagaland due to heavy rainfall and landslides affecting various regions. Additionally, the Air Force is providing aerial support to civilian administration and accessing areas where roadways have been completely blocked. The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority reported multiple landslides across several districts due to the heavy monsoon rains, severely impacting the road network. The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority indicated that aerial rescue and relief operations would continue as needed, considering the weather and ground conditions. The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority has confirmed that necessary funds for road restoration, debris removal, and emergency relief operations have already been released to all districts.
