Glasgow, July 29: Gulveer Singh of India clinched a silver medal in the men’s 10,000 meters final at the Commonwealth Games 2026, held late Tuesday night (Indian time). In a remarkable performance at the Scotstoun Stadium, Gulveer finished the race with a time of 27:49.78 seconds, securing second place. Gulveer completed the first 400 meters in 1:13.5 seconds and finished the 5,000 meters in 14:16.1 seconds. Gulveer gained international recognition by winning a bronze medal in the 5,000 meters at the 2023 Asian Athletics Championships and another bronze in the 10,000 meters at the 2022 Asian Games. Gulveer holds several national records in the 5,000 meters, 10,000 meters, mile, and half marathon.
