News Investigators/ Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde of on Tuesday evening, received the two Diamond DA42 MNG Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) aircraft purchased by the state. According to him, the decision to procure the aircraft was driven by the vast landmass of the state and the need to strengthen security. He assured residents that the aircraft would begin operations immediately, emphasising that security remained the foundation of development. Mr Makinde said that the government decided to purchase the two surveillance aircraft, as a result of the sheer size of Oyo state and the need to secure it. “We have negotiated an MOU with the Nigerian Air Force, and we will be working together on this,” he said.
