Emergency services were called to Clyde Terrace just before 4pm on Tuesday (July 28). The air ambulance was reportedly seen landing on the green by St Paul's Church. The person involved suffered an injury and was taken to Sunderland Royal Hospital by road. A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to a person injured on Clyde Terrace in Spennymoor at 3.46pm on Tuesday, July 28. "One patient was taken to Sunderland Royal Hospital for further treatment."
