Durham University placed sixth in a new study by student accommodation provider Canvas Student, with its green spaces recognised as the best in the country. Only Oxford, Cambridge, Newcastle University, the London School of Economics, and the University of Nottingham placed higher in the overall ranking. Durham also finished ahead of other leading institutions including the University of Edinburgh, the University of Glasgow, and the University of Sheffield. It was followed by Cambridge and Newcastle University in second and third place respectively.
