Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry on Friday denounced Awami National Party (ANP) Senator Aimal Wali Khan's remarks and said the senator seemed to have been toeing "someone else's agenda".
Speaking to reporters at the Parliament House, the minister turned his fire on Senator Aimal Wali Khan, accusing him of making "irresponsible statements for publicity".
Chaudhry alleged that the ANP chief was making negative remarks for no reason, "not knowing whom you want to please".
Chaudhry mocked the ANP leader's political stature, saying, "You are a leader only because your elders ran the party.
The minister insisted Pakistan's diplomatic gains had come through the partnership of the Prime Minister and the "Field Marshal," noting: "Where once our prime minister's calls went unanswered, now red carpets are rolled out."
