By T. D. ThorntonPenn National will add six additional race dates in December to replace cards that got cancelled earlier in the year. The Pennsylvania Horse Racing Commission on Tuesday approved the addition of Dec. 3, 4, 10, 11, 17 and 18. The replacement dates are all Thursdays and Fridays, meaning Penn National will close out the season with two-date racing weeks. After a planned four-week break, that three-date weekly schedule resumes Oct. 7 through Nov. 20. After one date of racing on Wednesday, Nov. 25 during the Thanksgiving holiday week, the December makeup dates start eight days later, on Dec. 3.
