FirstPort, a property management company, had a team of locally-based staff take part in the Marine Conservation Society's annual Great British Beach Clean. They tackled Highcliffe Beach, making it one of the eight sites across England and Scotland chosen by FirstPort for this initiative. The Great British Beach Clean is one of the UK's largest citizen science projects focused on ocean health. This information is used by the Marine Conservation Society to campaign for stronger environmental protections and is also added to the global International Coastal Cleanup database. Anna Latkowska, the property manager who led the Highcliffe Beach cleanup, said: "It was truly inspiring to see such a strong turnout for this year’s Great British Beach Clean.
