Fifty walkers donned neon and tutus to complete 18 miles through the New Forest on Saturday, September 27. It was inspired by Annabelle Hover, who died last year at the age of 18, after being diagnosed with Batten Disease in childhood. Batten Disease is incurable and causes progressive loss of sight, speech, mobility and cognitive ability in children. "Annabelle was determined never to let Batten Disease define her – she wanted to live life to the fullest. With more than £9,800 raised so far, the money will help families affected by Batten Disease, providing specialist equipment and funding research.
