The influx of visitors in June, July and August has led to a boost in confidence among businesses. The town has seen a rejuvenation of shop units, with new establishments like Barbara's Bier Haus, The Botanist, Wenzel's and Sport It First setting up shop. The Botanist, which opened earlier this year, has reported its most successful launch ever. The council is also trialling a new high street rental auction scheme, which would make it easier to bring long-term empty units into use. Efforts continue to keep the town centre safe and enjoyable for all visitors.
