Apple Valley police said on Tuesday a garbage truck driver dumped a burning load into the street after it became “too hot to handle.” On a Facebook post, Apple Valley police said the fire happened under extreme heat conditions. Police said the truck driver followed standard safety procedures by dumping the load in the street.
